The 3am Cafe

In the quiet hours of the morning, when the moon is high and all you hear is the sigh of the wind against your back, you may stumble upon a humble little American cafe tucked away in the corner of the street. The 3am Cafe, it reads. Enough caffeine to wake the dead!

And do the dead awaken! Ghosts, ghouls, zombies, and skeletons galore pour in to taste the latest witch’s (coffee) brew! But that’s not all that crosses the threshold: the living too stumble their way through the door, unknowing of the undead that lurks about them. A grad student works furiously on their thesis as their long-since passed grandmother sits beside them, quietly proud. A chatter of skellies roll a pair of old dice as a tired businessman waits for his next flight.

And behind the counter is the trusty crew of the 3am Cafe, working tirelessly in their own personal limbo. And would you look at that - looks like they’re hiring someone new.

The 3am Cafe is a casual, slice-of-life game where your character works as a barista serving the living and the undead. Fulfill your own unfinished business as you suffer impatient and entitled customers and serve the most curious of brews. Beginners welcome! And for those who’ve played on Storium for a good long while, you may also bring back an old character from a “dead” Storium game, revived for another go. Perhaps they’ll at long last find their happy ending.

Lucian Meets Laszlo

Open Submissions began {{helpers.calendarDisplayTime(1732020425)}}, ends {{helpers.calendarDisplayTime(1733230025)}}

Lucian is a caped crime fighter with a strong fetish for bondage and for wearing pantyhose. By night, he works tirelessly to catch the many different bondage-loving villains (strange but true!) who have unexplainably established themselves in Smallville.

In this first story Lucian sneaks into the abandoned Acme Meat Packing plant on the outskirts of town. He has reason to believe that the notorious sociopath Laszlo has set up operations somewhere in this dilapidated space. His plan is to find Laszlo, put a stop to his torturing spree, and send him to a permanent home at Smallville Prison.

Festive magic. Biblical times.

You are an angel, with a special mission.

God’s son is to be born in a stable … yes, a stable … and it needs just the right sort of folks around. Nothing too grand, and some common folk to show He is there for everyone - but we need some kings to drop by as well, just to show their respects.

Oh, and speaking of kings, the local one is not feeling so festive and wants to scupper everything.

So, it’s quite simple, really. Let Mary in on what’s happening without her freaking out, get Joseph to stand by her, conspire to get them all to Bethlehem, herd the shepherds, and start some wise men off on a trek so they are on time. In fact, you might want to do that last bit first…

It won’t be easy, because it means moving everyone about, without anyone getting hurt or freaking out. Get it right - whatever you come up with, they are going to be talking about for years to come…

It was a regular routine rehearsal. With the upcoming showcase, Capetown High’s drama department has been hard at work practicing and setting up and now it is time. Clue! A murder mystery. Except… perhaps things get a little too realistic as the students find themselves suddenly trapped in the building with a real killer on the loose. Death and fear around every corner, dwindling hope, one escape.

The Brilliance of Madness

Open Lobby began {{helpers.calendarDisplayTime(1731518819)}}, ends {{helpers.calendarDisplayTime(1732728419)}}

Setting:
The story unfolds in the late 18th century, primarily within the eerie confines of Dr. Alaric Faustus’ sprawling estate on the outskirts of Geneva, Switzerland. The estate, once a grand family home, has been transformed into a labyrinthine laboratory filled with bizarre and dangerous contraptions, the product of Faustus’ twisted genius.

Premise:
In “The Brilliance of Madness,” you will step into the shoes of individuals who have come under the employ of the brilliant yet unhinged Dr. Alaric Faustus. At first, the work seems odd but manageable, providing a steady income and the promise of groundbreaking scientific discoveries. However, as the experiments grow more macabre and dangerous, you will be drawn into a web of moral dilemmas and life-threatening situations. Ultimately, you must decide whether to support Faustus in his final, most perilous venture or to stop him before his madness consumes you all.

Character Creation Guidelines:

Name: Choose a fitting name for the late 18th century.
Role: Decide on your character’s role within Faustus’ team (e.g., Apprentice, Medic, Engineer, Alchemist, Grave Robber, Herbalist, Assistant).
Background: Provide a brief backstory that explains how your character came to work for Faustus.
Skills: Highlight specific skills that your character brings to the team and how they might be used in the context of the story.
Motivations: Clarify why your character accepted the job with Faustus. Are they seeking wealth, knowledge, redemption, or something else?
Personality Traits: Outline key personality traits that will guide your character’s actions and decisions throughout the story.

The world has frozen over.

Cities, lands, mountains, valleys, as far as the eye can see it is all snow and ice. Past mistakes led to this point, global storms grew more intense and just when it felt too hot to handle the greatest snowstorm to ever face mankind wiped the earth.
But maybe it wasn’t completely our fault humanity collapsed, before the snowstorm creatures from another plane appeared.

Some theorize they come from the very pits of hell, some say they are government experiments gone loose, others think parasites have grown strong enough to manipulate humans. Whatever it is, across the world, there are now beings that look almost human that will attack anything it sees.
They can mimic human movements, looking like a lost child, a tired traveler, anything you could think of… the only way to tell if it is real or not is if it can speak and if it’s eyes are pure white.

Other beasts plague the lands.
The only animals to survive other than humans would soon grow to have thick coats to combat the endless snow and with hardly any plants growing they prey after each other.

You are stuck in the middle of the frozen city. Left with only the furs and coats on your back and a weapon in your hands, you and the other survivors are desperately searching for a way out of this city… or simply a better way to survive.
Some say that there is a place beyond the mountains surrounding the city, a place of warmth and green, most believe it is simply wishful thinking…

Do you?

!!IMPORTANT!! This is my first ever game and I simply want to do it to get the hang of controls and also share a story that I’ve been wanting to create for a while with other people!
I am no means a perfect host and so this will be an interesting experience haha!
