You are Luce, beings of light, living in palaces of crystal deep within Scuta, or as the humans call it, Earth. Your kind are benevolant by nature, always wanting to share your utopic realm and way of living, but unable to do so without risking harm on the fragile peoples that live scattered around the globe, whose eyes can’t withstand your radiance, and whose flesh blisters and burns from the heat of your hearts.
Life on Scuta’s core has always been serendipitous, but something new appears that for the first time, might not be so. A child, retrieved from a metal canister that appeared at the door of the Regent’s palace one day. Not any child, no, a little girl made of darkness. Something never seen before. She feeds off light, her mere presence sapping the glow from the skin of any Luce that happen be near.
The Lady Regent has put together a team of volunteers to care for the child. You are one of them, and just a couple weeks in you begin to notice how being around the child not only depletes your essence, but also corrupts your nature, making you feel things you’d never felt before. Frustration, jealousy, fear.
On top of that, the Lady Regent recently informed you and your peers that she received a concerning message from the surface: The child belongs to the humans, and they want their weapon back.

A vessel named the Odyssey was a deep-space research vessel, these vessels were standard procedure to send out. The explorers on these vessels take samples of other planets, observe how the planet thrives, and even get to discover new planets. These have been sent out for many years, but this vessel was special.
The Odyssey was the first vessel to have the new built in AI, Quest. Quest was supposed to help the explorers manage the supplies they had, help them discover and explore new planets, and help them keep samples just in the right conditions for them to stay alive. Everyone thought that this new AI was going to help everyone, but little did they know that Quest had a different idea.
The Odyssey’s first journey was not far, they just went to the other side of the galaxy. Halfway though the journey they lost connection to the vessel, but suspected nothing about it. A week after they lost connection with the vessel they got a transmission from it, all it said was “Silence”. Nothing more than one word was said.
Two weeks later, the vessel came back, the only problem is that it was unresponsive and powered down and without the crew. No one could explain what had happened and no one questioned it father when NASA said the crew did it to its own vessel.
The NASA engineers got the vessel to working order, Odyssey now operational, was waiting for its next crew.

2 decades after civilization collapsed, the Zaibatsu built everything up from the ground, and established new rules built on equality. However that was 100 years ago. Now the Zaibatsu officers are seen as signs of terror, and the Zaibatsu family rules with iron fist. The world has been split into proveniences. Our story takes place in a lower provenience, where everyone is teetering on poverty, as a reporter gets tangled into a web of stories.

Canon-lite. This means you probably need to have seen the films, but you don’t need in-depth knowledge….
This game “tracks” The Return of the Jedi - we will be aware of and indirectly (and sometimes directly!) interact with the events.
New players welcome.
Player characters should not be resolutely evil - they need to have enough good in them to be allied to the essentially good party.
All characters should fit in to the universe of the first 3 Star Wars movies (IV, V and VI). The story starts at the time we Rebels are in Jabba’s palace, awaiting the arrival of Leia, Luke etc to rescue Han… You can not be a major character from Empire as the story will run alongside those events. So they need to be an original character based on a Star Wars race, or a minor character who could feasibly get more involved… The idea is that we are out of camera shot the whole movie (unless a minor character who appears!) but we are helping to make some of the things that happen, happen.
Feel free to ask with any questions. Note that 2nd and 3rd week in October I will have limited availability due to vacation.
This is a fast paced game, with most players contributing weekly. But we are welcoming, and we will make it work if you can’t post that often.
I would want any player to tell me if I need to adjust to increase their access or welcome.
Please contact me as to how best to join the game if you need inspiration!
Jabba’s Palace.
You do not need to be an expert in Star Wars canon.

Welcome to “The Deck”, an underworld group led by the head of the Hart family, Amarilla Hart (AKA Spades Ace). Join the ranks as one of her family members, or perhaps another affiliate. Whether it be a nobody trying to fight their way to a fortune, an unwilling messenger chained by a debt, or a hopeless lover resorting to any means necessary to be with their soulmate, The Deck loves the desperate.
The Hart Family has built their fortune over decades from smuggling and later controlling the industry of ‘Youth’, a substance that pauses your aging for a short period of time—quickly outlawed due to how addictive it was, and how, after the first three doses, it negatively impacted your health when not taken regularly—an ironically deadly form of immortality.
There have been rumours that a cure to the illness caused by Youth has been found. It is unknown whether it simply frees those addicted, enabling them to live out the rest of their lives normally, or if it turns Youth into a permanent three-dose solution to death. Regardless, it spells the end of The Deck’s reign and fortune. Amarilla Hart has ordered that if this cure exists, it be found, destroyed before her eyes, and that its creator be terminated. She’s decreed that whoever does this will succeed her as leader of The Deck, whether they are of her blood or not.

Let me preface by saying that this might turn out to be more of an experiment than a game, so if you have any expectations I now invite you to kindly defenestrate them before proceeding.
I will elaborate more on the experimental aspects after the premise blurb.
Cheers!
Melody Haggard is cursed. She’s got no proof and no enemies but there seems to be no other explanation for it.
All her life (basically) she has been tossed from one world to another, without any particular rhyme or reason. When it first happened at thirteen she was naive enough to believe it was a superpower, but no, she has no control over it whatsoever.
Nearly a decade has passed now, and she’s battled in steam punk armies, soared in a swarm of fairies, investigated in a gang ridden metropolis, and so much more. She has now found herself in a mutant ridden distopia–not the first she’s visited–and met you. She thinks it’ll be the same, she’ll aid you and others in whatever adventure fate dumps in her path and then without warning–poof!–she’ll be gone and never seen again.
Maybe she’s right, perhaps you will be just another passing figure in her story.
Or maybe something will change, and by some miracle you’ll join her in a unwilling world-hopping escapade.
(The idea is for this to be a story with space for serious, heartfelt moments, action, and a decent dose of silliness)
I’ll break it down further in the info for applicants!
Note: This game is designed to be flexible and open to new, old, low commitment and high commitment players. You just need to be somewhat willing to go with the flow.

How well do you truly know the souls that journey beside you?
Have we, in our pursuit of glory, power, and destiny, forgotten the ancient magic of connection? Have we become so lost chasing crowns, quests, and dreams that we’ve stopped seeing the hearts that walk beside our own?
We crave companionship—heroes, allies, lovers—but is it all just about what they can offer us?
In this tale, our wanderers rediscover the lost art of forging bonds that run deeper than blood or magic. Friendships that outlast empires. Memories that outshine gold. Connections that heal even the darkest hearts.
This is not just a road trip—it’s a quest across realms, a journey of souls.
A road trip of a lifetime… in a world touched by wonder.

In a quiet town where routines conceal restless hearts, four lives become entwined in a secret that begins with a single glance. Elias Thorne, a man searching for meaning in the affection of others, finds himself loved by three women — Mara Ellison, who offers him devotion; Clara Voss, who burns with desire; and Sera Nyland, who sees the truth but says nothing.
One evening, during a small gathering, the delicate balance between them begins to fracture. A private confession turns into a forbidden kiss between Elias and Clara — a moment witnessed by Sera, whose silence becomes both mercy and punishment. What follows is a slow unraveling: Mara’s suspicion, Clara’s guilt, Elias’s lies, and Sera’s quiet torment as she watches love turn into something darker.
When the truth finally surfaces, the confrontation is raw and irreversible. Elias confesses he loved each of them differently, yet in doing so, lost them all. He leaves into the rain, alone, while the three women remain behind — bound not by love anymore, but by the memory of it.
Their laughter once filled the room; now only silence holds their secret.

In this world, people can be reborn again and again, an endless cycle of reincarnation. Also in this world, some people take it as their job to hunt and kill the reincarnated, thus ending their cycle of infinity. Our four characters are just trying to survive life when they start to have memories of past lives, and know things they shouldn’t. They all know it’s only a matter of time before the hunters come after them, with no clue on how to survive.
This game will be perfect for beginners, given that I am one myself and this is my first time hosting a game.
NOTES ON REINCARNATION:
There are many different kinds of reincarnation, all with their similarities and differences. In The First Fifteen Lives of Harry August, Harry relived his first life fifteen times, but with all the memories of his past lives and the ability to change what happens every life. In Infinity Kings, characters are reborn into other people with those memories, then eventually are reborn as themselves, at the same age they were at their death. My thoughts for this are different from both. When characters are reborn, they look slightly different than their last life, and just similar enough to their parents to blame their appearance on recessive genes. They have most of the knowledge they gained in past lives at birth, and they don’t have any memories of past lives until they turn 10 years old. After their tenth birthday, they experience random bursts of memories, and instincts(fighting moves, etc.) that they never had before materialize. If you have any questions, please ask in the lobby. :)
