As it approaches midnight, a train draws into a disused station on the Piccadilly Line. Usually, it would pass through, the platform just a flash of light in the darkness.
Not tonight.
The doors snap open, as they would at any other station, but it’s clear that something isn’t right. There must have been some kind of mistake. Even if you don’t know that this place closed in the 1930s, it doesn’t look like anywhere you should be.
And yet something about it calls out to you, urging you to leave the train. Step into the unknown, take a chance, leave all of your burdens and worries behind.
You could. It would be so easy. But if you do, will you ever find your way back?
