In a bleak northern landscape, where the sworn oath is just as much a force of nature as the ice and snow, you will seek an answer to the question: why are the ancient stones singing? Come and explore the world of Ironsworn (http://www.ironswornrpg.com) : the rules-light rpg of axe and spear and ritual magic.
Hello! This is an original scenario for the tabletop rpg Ironsworn. In a bleak landscape inspired partly by the TV show Vikings, that part of Game of Thrones where they went north of the Wall, and maybe a dash of Lord of the Rings, players take on the role of the Ironsworn - warriors, sorcerers, and brigands who swear vows on a piece of iron. Whether it was a sword, a coin, or just a rusty nail, it doesn’t matter - an oath sworn on iron must be fulfilled, or the world will fall apart. Or your part of it, anyway.
This game will use Storium to explore a typical situation in the Iron Lands - a prophetic dream has troubled the sleep of an entire village for weeks. In the dream, an ancient standing stone in a far-off pasture has begun to sing. A council of all the village has determined that someone must swear an oath to go and find out what the dreams mean, but who will swear that vow?
You guys, that’s who.
