Castle Kinae is a place that everyone looks upon with excitement, but there are few who are privileged enough to enter. It is a place of dreams and aspirations. It is a kingdom of Magic. The forests and lakes that surround it are said to be filled with wonders, but there are still parts unknown. There is much to explore, much to learn, and much to gain, even from the nearby city of Tyleth, which bustles with wares and people from all over the known world.
Not everyone has the gift of magic, of course, and so only those that show promise in a particular domain get to go there and study. For Brynja, this was a natural progression. This was the start of a journey that would lead to her legacy. She would make her family proud, and her name would be passed on to the next generation. For Raine, it was an attempt at creating a new beginning. The yearning in her heart to prove herself as her own person gnawed at her, and she wished on the stars to be able to be someone that her parents would look upon with favour.
Others also made the journey to Tyleth. Some did so with excitement and some with trepidation. Some had a mixture of both. All new chapters of life invite change, and it just remained to see what they would be. For two mages, their lives would be even more transformed, but that would come later.
