Once, the nations of this world lived in constant flux of peace and conflict, with each other and within themselves. But there was method to this madness. The world was bloody, but by no means unnatural. All that changed, however, when these nations were suddenly faced with a common enemy, a threat so great it forced races that had feuded for thousands of years to ally in desperation.
On that fateful day, a swathe of land the size of a small country exploded into white flames. Endworld, a terrifying mass of apocalyptic magical vortexes was born into our world with a wail that could be heard a continent away. Strange, horrific monstrosities crawled forth from the white flames, and waged a bloodthirsty war against anything they encountered. Entire cities were overrun in a matter of days. Within a week, kingdoms had fallen. Even far off lands not yet touched by the Endworlders were falling to infighting as ambitious lords and schemers tried to rule their kingdom’s final days.
That was a hundred years ago. Those races that had survived the first year of battle with the Endworlders had been forced underground, relying on the dwarves to excavate entire cities. So it was that those who once ruled the surface were made refugees in the darkness far below. The Endworlders have hunted those survivors, but underestimated their cunning. The first and last line of defence against Endworld has been the massive network of tunnels and passages designed by elves, built by dwarves and manipulated by humans. By sealing off and redirecting passages, the surface refugees have kept their underground havens safe from Endworlder incursion.
But things are changing. Those who dwell below are no longer content to survive. They are beginning to push back against Endworld. The Warlord, an elf of considerable power, has rallied the military forces of all surviving factions and prepares for a massive campaign to retake the surface. Those once known as adventurers form his vanguard, made up of skilled men and women of every race and vocation.
Will you answer his call, and lead your world from the shadows and into the light?

Pls create your own cards. Or not. I’m a stranger on the internet, not your mother.
Nature cards should specify your race and vocation (class). I’ve provided a few example cards, but feel free to mix and match races and classes.
Each race has certain benefits and weaknesses, and different standing in this multiracial society.
Due to their comparatively short lifespans, there are no living humans who remember the surface. They have spent the last hundred years managing the labyrinth of passages and turning back Endworld incursions, but are now prepared to fight for the world they only know through old stories.
High elves act as the custodians of knowledge, working tirelessly in huge libraries to ensure that culture continues to flourish, even in this dark time. Some high elves, like the Warlord, have chosen more military vocations, and use their magical affinity to take the fight to the Endworlders.
Drow, also known as dark elves, were always viewed with suspicion by the other races. Their sensitivity to sunlight made them reclusive and mysterious on the surface, but the race has prospered down in the darkness and stepped up in a big way, prompting some feelings of resentment among those who feel undervalued in the face of the apparent drow superiority.
Wood elves, for their part, were almost completely eradicated while trying to defend their forests from the Endworlders. The race is all but dead, survived by only a handful of those who had the sense to flee to human lands.
Dwarves are hardy folk, attuned with the stone and able to excavate passages and underground cities with ease. The other races have been largely dependent upon the dwarves for this reason. Dwarves greatly outnumber elves and humans due to the fact that they were already a subterranean civilization when Endworld was born.
If you have any ideas for other races, feel free to tell me about them when you’re making your character.
