Oyoven, a lush and savage world dense in natural wonder, mysterious ruins, and mighty beasts and monsters. Here the Creatures of the Free Realms and the Forces of Darkness vy for power, but at the edges of the world on the outskirts of this timeless conflict, curious alliances unite Goblin & Dwarf, Skeleton & Snapjaw, and creatures from all corners of the earth.
Here, the world spins ever onwards, as though Good & Evil, Law & Chaos were competing hobbyist clubs that the busy peoples of Oyoven had decided to ignore. Here in this place, grudge is forgotten and friends are found in the rubble of the old world and the foundations of the new one.
In the mountainous Near Reaches of the Northern Expanse, in the verdant green summer, an elderly Skeleton by the name of Blanche “Brittle-Bones” Blanco decided to restore the inn she had once tended in life. Over the hot, long days and with the help of some determined labourers, Blanche was able to finish construction before the first days of Fall, just in time to provide a warm place as the wilds of Oyoven began to turn Orange, Red, and Cold.
The First Winter came and went, and with it came and went a human noble, a Lady MacYondel. Enchanted with the place after spending some time in the ruins of the Near Reaches, she came to Blanche with a proposition- to create a township of their own, with the Inn and a Guildhall to serve as the cornerstones of the venture, and with a Settler’s Bureau to flush out the remaining enterprises and businesses required for independence.
The Spring of that year came and with it came the first camps of workers and adventurer’s came, and the hills and vales of the Near Reaches came to life with the clashing of swords, the chanting of magical spells, and the roaring of Forgotten Beasts. Treasure and Artifacts poured into the town, even though daily, less adventurers did.
The Summer gifted unto the burgeoning young townstead a bard, one Gurglethrax the Gaunt, an imp and wanderer across this world and others. He wrote then many rowdy, raunchy, and rude tales of blood and glory in the Halls Beneath the Broken Brook. From his talented and foul mouth came stories of witchcraft and wonder beyond the imagination of those who dwelt in more civil lands to the south.
The Autumn has come once again unto the Near Reaches, and with it has come even more hopeful faces and bright eyes. A new wave of Adventurers, here to find fortune and fame as sung in the tales, has come to bring prosperity and wealth to the hopeful young town of Innstead. In their shadow, eager homesteaders and craftsmen take up the charge of raising a city from the murky banks of Mudskipper Creek.
The Winter will come again, but before then there is time yet for adventures, constructions, and new developments in the up-and-coming village. Ere the snow falls, make use of the time you have.
The notice reads as follows:

Caravan to Innstead leaves the first light of day the 15th of Brightmorning.
There is time yet for you to pack and join the wagon train, to begin a new life far from the buffoons and beggars of the city, leagues from the larcenists and lepers, miles from the melancholy.
This game is intended as a “Dungeon Delving” story, where each character fills some form of role, and they cooperate to haul treasure up from the depths to the town. The only Difference here is the affairs within Town will also be a game run by yours truly. The things you do to support the town will help or hinder the other players, and the things they do to benefit the town will aid you in turn.
