Bluegate Keep is perched on a rocky cliff overlooking the tossing waves of the Great Sea. It’s beautiful, and a bit lonely looking.

It has a backdrop of craggy, green grassed hills and small, tough bushes that stretch as far as the eye can see. The closest city is five days of hard riding up the coast, but there are smaller towns and villages scattered about the place.

The soldiers of Bluegate Keep are responsible for holding up the law in this far flung arm of the kingdom. Oftentimes the hunted flee into this remoteness in an attempt to escape their judgement. Most of the time, they end up in the dungeons below the Keep, with the local morally impaired.

Down in these dungeons are people from all walks of life. They’ve all been found guilty, much as they protest it, of one crime or another.

Buried right at the back of the dungeon, devoid of natural light, is Death Row. Some of the doomed have been waiting there for ages, some have only just arrived. But all of them have been told; these will be their last three nights.
