Moonhand Studios is one of the big names in the B-movie business in Hollywood. Even though they rake in the money, they’ve always specialized in low-budget, but strangely popular cheesy fantasy flicks.
They even get big names in their tiny pictures and among the biggest was the actress Alistrael Goh, a French actress who was roped in to play the female lead in their latest film, “Mirrorblade.”
But the filming was tough, and strange accidents have plagued the filming since it started, always when Alistrael was on the set.
And now she’s been found dead in her trailer from a heavy blow to the head.
But yet more accidents have continued as they have continued with the show, and now it is up to the cast and crew, along with the police to find out who killed the actress, and why the not-so-harmless accidents continue.
======
This game is loosely based on the 1920s Annie Hanes mystery novel “Who killed Charmian Carslake.” and the story is a murder mystery that might develop into a serial murder mystery as time goes on. However, this is not a violent game nor is it supposed to invoke horror. It is meant to invoke the popular pulp mystery fiction of a century ago, much of which still survives in modern mystery fiction.
It is also supposed to invoke, somewhat lightly some of the Hollywood culture or popular images of it.
No knowledge of the original work that inspired this game is necessary or even particularly helpful. so just come in with an idea you are playing a mystery game in Hollywood and you are fine.
