You graduated high school ten years ago or atleast, most of you did.
The months before graduation were unlike anything else in your lives. Conrad would never speak to anyone about what exaclty happened between him and Ellie the night she died. Therapists, cops, no one. It was the end of things, the end of everything. Theories persisted for years that he had done something, but there was never any proof, nothing at all.
Still, coupled with his difficulty in dealing with it all, it was enough to ruin his life. When everyone else headed off to college, Conrad stayed in town. When everyone else moved on and started their lives, Conrad stayed.
You had all been close, some of you since you were little kids and Silverford was never going to change, it was a small town by the sea and in someway, it would always be home. But it’s been years since you’ve all been in the same place at the same time.
Then you got the phone call from someone at home telling you the news.
Conrad Marshall had died.
Characters should all know each other, you can have stayed in contact if you like, though it is probably easier if you haven’t. You need to think very carefully about who your character was ten years ago, what kind of teenager they were and who they are now, as we will play both characters.
You can have had relationships between characters, whatever you like.
All you know about Ellie’s death is that it was reported as an allergic reaction. You don’t know whether there is any truth to it. Conrad’s cause of death is unknown at the beginning of the game.
Ellie was a talented musician and singer, she was light hearted and sweet natured.
When Conrad was young, he was an athlete, enjoying swimming more than anything. He was completely changed by Ellie’s death, retreating into himself and becoming a reclusive, troubled young man.

The game is mostly based around the characters and their relationships. I am more interested in that than anything! The plot will be vaguely mysterious and we’ll see how it goes.
