Nexus, also known as the Infinite City, is a place where thousands upon thousands of pieces from various realities become a patchwork quilt to make up a large city. Robots can be seen riding dinosaurs to work. Cyberpunk-esque gangs can have shootouts with a posse of cowboys over turf. A magic academy can be next door to a robotics factory pumping out loads of laser weaponry. Nexus is a place where anything and everything can happen and anyone and everyone can meet.
You happen to be from one of the smaller more patchwork neighborhoods. Through circumstances you don’t quite know yet you are about to become part of a squad for hire, doing anything like solving murders, taking down gangs, stealing corporate secrets, staving off corrupting plagues, obtaining arcane artifacts, protecting a VIP and more. If you can be paid for it then your squad is willing to do it.
