Morningstar City: a metropolitan wonder that has grown to become rather contrary toward its purpose. A dreamscape which was once meant to be a place for civility and morals has grown into the breeding ground for crime and danger. Corrupt politicians run the show behind scenes having their pockets fed daily by dangerous, and often immoral, businessmen. Gangs behavior has become rampant, almost like a common occurrence while on the street. The police do as elected officials say, which is to let the crime continue to fester on in Morningstar. There appears to be little to no safety for any normal individuals.
There may be a small hope, however. A faint light which has kindled anew in this paradise lost. A new businessman has emerged as a high political figure, promising to rid of crime in the city completely. His name, Jack Casper. His new regime alone has rid the city of some big named crime syndicates and made Morningstar City a much safer location for everyone living there. And with his gained support, Casper plans to rid the city of all crime. Go back to the ideology of supreme happiness the city once imagined.
Pulling the strings behind everything wrong in Morningstar from corrupt politicians to bad cops is a mysterious organization known only as The Tide.
Some few have also taken justice into their own hands for this task. Many have gone out onto the street using whatever talents they possess and putting and end to crime in their own areas of Morningstar. Everything seems to be heading toward a better tomorrow. Everything seems to be getting better.
But some wonder: what if everything is only getting worse?
This is a superhero based game in a universe set to modern times. Characters should be looking to make their city a better place in their own way. This can cause characters to become villains in the long run (which would be awesome) but for now you all will soon come together to help Morningstar just a little bit.
This universe is still very small and only just now has a superhero team made. We’re looking for a group who wants to start the hero universe here in Morningstar City, so if you’ve got the creative juices flowing and the want to write up your own hero story, then come on to play with us.
This game is a continuation of a failing private game. There has been a team formed to combat the crime plaguing Morningstar. If you so choose, your character may join this team. Make sure to specify in your character bio if you want your character on the team or not.
