Every day at 3:00pm EST, fans across the nation tune into Majestic Towers, a live streamed daytime drama (don’t let any of the execs hear you call it a soap opera) to find out what new crisis awaits the residents and staff of the glitzy hotel. The addition of a casino was a big ratings boost and gave the writers plenty of new drama to bring in.
The cast and crew behind the popular show lead nearly as exciting lives as the characters they bring to life daily. A live program, a cast of actors with artistic temperaments and a network constantly looking to boost ratings keep the studio in a continual state of urgency. Maybe that’s the key to the on screen performances and maybe it just makes everyone’s job harder.
On a show like this, there are always new cast and crew members to bring their own personal and professional issues into the mix. Who will end up on top, who will end up in the arms of someone they shouldn’t and who will end up on the cover of the next tabloid? You’ll have to tune into Majestic Towers to find out.
The style is third person, past tense. Please be careful not to do anything too drastic when writing in another player’s character. Non-player characters are mostly up for grabs so go hog wild if you have an idea.
Action will alternate between studio scenes with the Actor characters and crew interacting and times when the show is live and players will write for their Hotel characters. To the Hotel characters, Majestic Towers is the reality and they know nothing about shows or actors.
It will be up to the Actor characters to react to the chaos caused by the Hotel characters, or as they usually call it, Ridiculous plots and dialogue! Who is writing this crap?
