It is the 1850s. Lord Sallow, a minor English lord, has returned from Egypt with a collection of artifacts, two live crocodiles, and an authentic Egyptian mummy. He has invited a diverse group to a dinner party which will conclude with the unwrapping of the mummy. Expert commentary will be provided by Professor Dominic Salazar, an Egyptologist who accompanied Lord Sallow on his expedition.
Unfortunately, a sudden and violent winter storm has kept many of the guests from reaching Lord Sallow’s country estate. Those who have made to Sallow Hall expect to be stuck there for several days. Despite the reduced attendance, Sallow is determined to continue with the planned event. Guests of Lord Sallow might include any of the better sort of people: members of the peerage, foreign dignataries, military officers, educated professionals, and so on.
