It hasn’t been that long since magic tore through reality, mingling with technology to create a new world. The United States has fractured into about a dozen new kingdoms and territories.
The old gods, those who were not dead, returned, weakened and mad, and in their place, new gods have risen.
With them have come the dragons. Most were weakened by their long hibernation, and are still hiding in the wilderness. Others, though, have fed on the fear and confusion of the humans, and created micro-kingdoms for themselves, ruling the material world as the gods rule the spiritual.
As with all powerful beings, some are benevolent. Some are not.
Lakshmi, a young dragon, has taken Charlotte, North Carolina as her own, ruling the banking capitol of the former USA with a benevolent, if greedy, fist.
But her wealth is not unnoticed by other, more savage forces…and nobody ever promised the princess would be human-shaped.
It is up to a ragtag, confused, and anarchic band of ‘heroes’ to take on a hungry foe to protect their city from something much worse.
