Its been eight years since the Battle of Bellerophon, since the Coalition fell apart. Betrayed from within by the Mishar and their allies the Coalition that had stood for more than a thousand years collapsed after a decade of battles across the galaxy. At the final battle three hundred fifty Star Guard ships held the line against a fleet of over eight hundred. By the time the battle was over only a handful of Star Guard ships survived and the Mishar allied fleet descended into treachery and infighting.
With the Coalition’s fall its enemies took advantage of undefended systems on their borders and central systems worked to rebuild their defense fleets and reestablish old alliances. As wealthy core systems struggled for resources criminal cartels, slavers, and pirates expanded their operations across the known worlds.
You are the crew of the Argolis, one of the few remaining Star Guard ships transformed into a freighter. Somehow acquired by Captain Jiro following Bellerophon, it serves as both your home and workplace as you travel from system to system for jobs.
