War. War never changes. In the year 2077, the major powers of the world unleashed their nuclear payload at each other causing global societal disruption. The results left the complete collapse of existing nation states and widespread radiation that had completely polluted the environment. Those that were lucky entered underground vaults before the bombs fell. Your ancestors had taken refuge in Vault 90. Several generations had lived in Vault 90 not knowing the conditions of the outside world nor did it really need to. Unlike most Vaults, this Vault thrived with what they had on hand. The overseers being fair and wise leaders over the generations had successfully kept the Vault in great condition for well over 200 years. At least that was how the story was told to you…
In the year 2292, things were about to change for the worst. The reactor powering the Vault was failing for unknown reasons. What was worse was all of the fail safes to prevent a meltdown had also failed. On top of all this, one of the vault dweller’s had escaped into the wasteland, most likely being the cause of the Vault’s downfall. You and a handful of other’s managed to escape into the wasteland before the Vault unleashed a small nuclear explosion. You look forward seeing the hellish landscape before you. Outside the city of Keystone, you saw what was once Mount Rushmore now only a pile of rubble.
You now must venture forth into the wasteland. Establish a new home, find weapons, and protect yourselves from the hostile raiders and every creeping thing that comes your way. As you progress into this story, you may even be able to find the saboteur to your Vault and learn more about the powers slowly creeping into Dakota.
This isn’t your typical Fallout game. You will really need to be careful what you do here; otherwise, you’ll end up dead. Expect a dark, hopeless, and extremely violent Fallout experience here.
