In the not-too-distant future, time travel has been invented, but is strictly controlled to prevent changes to history. Nigel Deacon, a wealthy British naturalist, has gained access to time-travel technology, and plans to use it for a very special program known as Project Salvation. His goal is to found the ultimate wildlife sanctuary: a top-of-the-line safari park that will feature numerous species of prehistoric animals, rescued from the past before they can go extinct. To accomplish this grand plan, he has recruited a team of brave explorers to help him stock the park. Their mission: to travel to different eras of prehistory, and to rescue some of the most extraordinary creatures ever from extinction, to give them a second chance at life in the safety of the present.
