A magical mystery about love, disobedience and the big bad wolf.
In the quiet corner of a village, a young woman named Scarlet stepped out of her small, wooden cottage, the cool air brushing against her cheeks. She had dreamt of a wolf with eyes of the most intense blue, a creature that seemed to beckon her with a haunting melody only she could hear.
There were in fact whispers of a beast that roamed the nearby forest and her heart raced with fear at the thought of encountering the wolf. Yet, the allure of its melodic call grew stronger each day. She knew the dangers that lurked in the woods, yet found herself drawn to the edge of the forest more often than she’d care to admit. She could almost feel the wolf’s eyes on her, watching, waiting for her to make a move. It was as if the very essence of the wolf was entwined with her soul, pulling her closer with every beat of her heart.
Though the villagers spoke in hushed tones about the missing livestock and the eerie howls that echoed through the night, the allure that sang to her from the shadows of her mind was a stark contrast.
Scarlet tried to shake off the dream’s hold, focusing on the mundane tasks of the day ahead. She had bread to bake and herbs to gather. But one evening though, unable to resist the call any longer, she ventured into the forest. The trees grew denser with every step, the underbrush thick with secrets and the occasional rustle of unseen creatures. The sun dipped below the treeline, casting a warm glow through the canopy. The air grew thick with the scent of pine and earth. It was then that she heard it, the melody that had haunted her dreams. She followed the sound, her heart pounding in her chest like the beat of a drum.
The wolf emerged from the shadows, its fur a mix of silver and moonlight. It approached her, not with the menace of the beasts from the village tales, but with a warm and gentle grace that seemed to whisper promises of protection and understanding. Scarlet felt her fear dissolve like mist under the warmth of its gaze. The creature stopped before her, its eyes locking with hers, and she knew that she had found the source of the enchanting call.
