Everyone knows the story of The Lord of the Rings - in the Third Age, a humble hobbit takes the One Ring to Mount Doom to be destroyed, ending the menace of the Dark Lord Sauron, and ushering in the Fourth Age of Middle Earth. But who knows what happened after that?
The Fourth Age, after all, is anything but quiet.
In Mordor: the lands around the sea of Nurn have been given to Sauron’s former slaves, people from a dozen different lands who have nothing in common but misery and hardship. Can they make a new beginning?
In Gondor: the Reunited Kingdom stretches from the Shire in the north to Ithilien in the South, with allies like Rohan and Dale on the borders. Can it meet all of its new responsibilities?
In the East and South: the Easterlings and the Haradrim aren’t going anywhere, and in many cases are reluctant to give up the lands Sauron gave them. What will they make of the new King?
In Minas Tirith: the powers behind the Throne are Faramir and Eowyn. Despite being younger than King Elessar, they actually have more experience in court intrigue - mostly from being on the wrong side of it, in their youth - then he does. What will they do, to protect their King and friend?
Welcome! This story will take place in the fourth decade of the Fourth Age. Those who remember the War of the Ring are either aging or have gone over sea. Already, a few youngsters have begun to doubt the story of a hobbit who defeated a dark lord.
The story so far Eowyn’s agents have made it all the way across Mordor to the dark tower known as Lugthrak. But how will they get in? And what dangers await them?
