Nihilanth is a world ravaged by a disaster that continues to ravage the world, rendering the world more and more hostile to the people who live there. Settlements are sparse and small, and everyone knows famine at some time.
Theatrical groups tour the settlements giving their own messages of hope and comfort, along with escapist drama and delights.
The plains of Suge are one of the more vibrant places in the region, with a lot of grasses and even small copses of trees still alive and healthy. This has attracted the Nature’s Salvationists, a theatrical group that actively seeks for people to protect, and even expand the natural areas of healthy wilderness.
But a rowdy rival group is tumbling their way. The Nature’s Salvationists see the Endless Revel company and its message of a final, blow-out party for the world as irresponsible and dangerous, and the Revel makes no secret that it thinks the Salvationists’ views of a green and revitalized Nihilanth is a pipe dream.
You are performers in this traveling theatrical troupe, which has elements of a circus as well and you need to urge the people to expand the healthy wilderness they have here, while fighting off the revel’s rowdy members, probably both ideologically and literally.
This is a game where players will play members of the Nature’s Salvationists theatrical troupe in the world of Nihilanth, which is a dying world fantasy world based on a short poem by Robert Burns that I made with the help of an AI. The plot of the game is also based somewhat on the same poem, but no knowledge of the poem is necessary or even helpful.
Players will try to get the people in the Suge plains to make responsible choices and also stop the destructive partying of the irresponsible and dangerous Endless Revel.
