It’s midsummer 1967, the Summer of Love, and two hippie icons are about to be married by a priest of the Order of Ancient Fellowship. The bride is Dawn Bright, an ex-nun and social activist who has led marches and rallies for every social justice cause you can imagine and a few more besides. The groom is Grey Knight, a singer-songwriter whose songs have been hits for others and who has a devoted cult following of his own. The Order of Ancient Fellowship (OAF) largely portrays itself as a parody of religious and social groups but of late the High Priest Pantios has begun to treat it more seriously.
And you? You make up the wedding party.
This will be a fairly short game of hippies and horror. Using the new story format, I’ve set this to novella length which should about 12 scenes. I’ll start with a maximum of six players. I’ve created some sample cards and you are welcome to create your own. Make sure you specify if you are part of the bride or the groom’s party. The happy couple are not sticklers for tradition, so there’s no reason to limit the bride to female attendants and the groom to male. Time period appropriate theme songs are also appreciated.
Please use third person, past tense for posts. If you do not communicate for several days and you are holding up the action, I reserve the right to retire you from play and do horrible things to your character. I’ve already brought two games to a conclusion and I intend to see this game finish as well.
I will not be too explicit about anything and I will ask the same of the players, but this is a hippie wedding. Expect sex, drugs, and rock & roll.
